Picking up on a comment from Zod in the Agar thread, does anyone really think Jon Sharp is the worst coach in SL history? I'm not a fan by any stretch, but remember he took Hudds to a CC Final and the SL Play offs the following season. So, realistically, who is the worst coach in SL history? I'll start with the nomination of Darren Abram (Leigh, 2005) |

He didn't have much of a team to work with, in fairness. Lowes poor and brief spell in charge at Wire at the start of this season is put into stark relief by their upturn in form when Smith had been in charge for a few weeks. |

Abram may well qualify as the least successful but his side was not of SL standard. Cullen could well be a candidtate , he had a good squad but was not able to get anywhere near the potential out of them. |

I suppose any coach whose team has made the playoffs cannot be counted in this , so list down from thereon |

I dont think its a coincidence that Cullen couldnt do anything at Wire, then moves to Widnes, who were scoring tries for fun, only to fall dramatically performance wise, once he took over. For me, the Cullen-bot and his robotic mindblowing philosophies of the game has to be the worst. Sorry Paul, nice guy, terrible coach |

What about Mcnamara, took on a team that was regarded as one of the best in SL and has year on year made them worse or is it just a case of Noble knew when to ge out.. |

Sorry Paul, nice guy, terrible coach Widnes were putting in shambolic performances when he took over, take away a Tolouse win whilst they were still in pre season. If you had seen Widnes destroy us on Saturday night then you would see the difference Cullen has made, backed up by several of their players after the game. Nice to see him on the touchline for the full 80 encouraging his forwards. He realised his presense was needed down there for that game and sent his assistant to the stands. |
