After our groundsman winning groundsman of the year last season in which we also won superleague club of the year it appears we could have the best playing surface in the city.

Do they do awards for that as well? If not, pointless post revealing yet another obsessive glance across the river.

I think West Park itself would have been a better playing surface that the KC on Friday. Not responsible for our performance but the fact that there were sunloungers in rows across it gives an idea of how much sand there was

I honestly dont think it is a desperate rant I think its a valid point and had it been us in that situation I would be pretty peeved too.
However the years upon years of Craven Park being a blue flag beach I dont see where he expects to get sympathy for that. Players get cuts and gashes playing on hard mud and amateurs sometimes get it from broken bottles that are on their pitches so at the end of the day a bit of sand should be the least of his worries at the moment.
I would imagine if Hudgell was in charge over the river (oooo bet he's spitting at me saying that!!!) he'd refuse the rent payments for as long as the ground was not in a good condition. Its upto Hull's useless board to stand upto the SMC who are naturally going to favour City due to the larger crowds and greater TV exposure every week.
