Looking on the positive side, God how things have changed in this city. Five years ago we were in administration, National League One, part-time and averaging 2000 fans. Hull were in Super League, averaging at least 10,000, competing in huge televised games and looking light years ahead of us. Fast-forward to 2009, we're competitive in SL, with four times our support of five years ago, and gutted at losing a thrilling match by 1 point to a class side in a CC Q/F. Meanwhile, our neighbours are several points behind us, didn't get as far in the CC, and we have the upper-hand in SL derbies, despite them laughing at us when we were promoted with claims of "8 easy points" etc. Taking all that into consideration, things don't feel as bad tonight as they did today, and as a neutral said on the VT, our club is destined for truly great things. C'mon you Reds!!! |

If you check the stats i think you'll find that Challenge Cup attendances have been steadily dwindling over the past few years. On that basis the attendance on Saturday stands up well and was infinately better than the 5597 that were at Odslum for the Bradford v Hull CC quarter final last season |

Crowd was less than Rovers were expecting and I think they should have reduced prices for this game. However its an awful lot better than the crowd for yesterday's game, especially when it looked like Cas took well over 3,000. Poor turnout from Hudds, not for the 1st time. |

It is a sign of the times unfortunately, people either don't have the extra cash or don't see the challenge cup as been as magical as it used to be, the only time you will actualy see large crowds for this competition at present, will be in the semi final and of course the final. |

C'mon you Reds!!! I agree in part but at some stage we have to stop saying"yes but look where we were so many years ago" every time we have a dissapointing result. I we want to get where we want to be we need to be allways self critical and analysing to be the best we can |

Points about Rovers well made but try not to compare us against Hull FC. No need, they are the ones doing the chasing now. |
