I don't ever remember the top eight of the top division being populated by so many Yokshire teams, at the moment St Helens are the only flag bearers for our friends across the pennines, I wonder what the balance of Lancastrian/Yorkshiremen are in those six Yorkshire teams.

Should this be much of a surprise with 7 Yorkshire sides compared to 4 over here? I guarantee come play off time both Wigan & Wire will be well in the top 8.

Lancashire are at a disadvantage seeing as their only is 1 team in Super League from Lancashire - Wigan

Saints = Merseyside

Wire = Cheshire

Salford = Greater Manchester

HTH :wink:

With the promotion of Burnley there are now 8 'Lancashire' football teams in the Premier League.

'Yorkshire' has 1 representative, Hull City. By the skin of it's teeth.

Just an observation.

Actually, Wigan is in Greater Manchester. Off hand I can't think of any team in what is now known as Lancs. Blackpool I suppose if they are still going.

The main point I was trying to make was, what is the mix of players from each county, ie: wiganers in Rovers.

By the way all you pedantic Tw@s if you go on the oddschecker site, they have odds on a Lancashire/ Yorkshire/ Humberside/others, to win the cup, so how do you think we feel, there isn't even a county called Humberside :lol:
