A very good win for the academy lads tonight, 24-16 i think was the final score.
10 a piece at half time with Rovers playing with a strong wind behind them.

The FC lads looked a lot bigger than the Rovers boys, but credit to the Robins they really took the game to them in the second half, and only a last second try giving scoreline a bit more respectability to the FC.

Thought our 3&13 and two starting props looked pretty good.

Good win considering a couple of our key players were held back for tomorrow/Sunday.

Hope the injuries (for both sides) aren't too serious.

In 15, 16 and 17 Hull had the academy version of Sam Moa's, it was definitley a case of Brawn versus Mobility. Some good prospects playing tonight but a couple of knocks to Rovers prop who was carried off with a leg injury and a Hull forward who was helped off after being knocked out.

Rovers we're superior in all areas and I'm very encouraged by the way things are panning out for the academy set-up.

Rovers looked bigger, leaner (by a long way), fitter, stronger, faster and more skillful than their FC counterparts and it's only due to the fact Rovers were penalised 15 or 16 times that FC were able to get anywhere near Rovers on the scoreboard.

On tonight's evidence, FC are digging themselves in an extremely large hole considering they appear to be coached exactly the same as the first team which is an indication that Jon Sharp is dragging them down with his clueless and dour "style" of Rugby League...

A few FC players looked bigger in the way that it looked like they had a few too many kebabs but Rovers were the far bigger in terms of physeek...
