as for the poor refing on monday i though ganson had a excellent game on good friday he really let the game flow and we say how the game is ment to be without a man in blue in the middle ruining the game. as allot of people say apoor ref needs dropping for a few weeks like any player does. its time this happened and gave competition for the ref so they perform every week mondays game was shockin and we should write to rfl saying we dont need ben thaler he wrecks the sport |

Not commented on Thaler as I was obviously not at your game. Its a valid point that some refs do get decisions wrong, but IMO, they do attempt to be fair. Often when you watch the game back if its televised and you have been at the match, you think, oh ok, he got that right. Yes, there will always be a few glaring errors that drive supporters mental, but overall, I think they try to get it right. I am unsure as to how "punish" them, but I did think that they did get suspended if deemed too many errors? |

Getting a descision wrong you have to expect as part of the game but his blatant ignoring of the Giants off side was awfull & spoiled the game, & non of the officals keeping in line with play to judge on forward passes is just bad positioning & a lack of co operation with each other. No teamwork at all.I have no doubt Thaler thought he was fair & have no reason to think he was bent, He was just awfull. |

I watched the Saints v Wigan game on sky last Thursday night and for 70 mins thought Thaler had a good game, In the last ten mins he made two diabolical decisions giving Wigan head and ball at scrums inside Saints twenty metre zone had. Fortunatley for Saints, Wigan lost the ball on the first or second tackle. Had Wigan gone on and scored and won I would love to have known what the Saints reaction would have been. On Monday he was absolutley diabolical the offside has been covered by several posters but can someone tell me if the law has changed in relation to when a player is fouled as was Dobson when he kicked through by Robinson ,Thaler gave the penalty where Robinson pulled Dobson back I have always thought the penalty should have been given where the ball lands which if this is the case this is further proof Thaler does not know the basic rules. |

I thought it was where the ball lands but......wasn't it Cooke he pulled back? |
