The lack of warm weather training pre-season does not appear to have had any great effect up to now.

The second halves (particularly) of the Celtic and Salford games were excellent discipline wise. Of course this helps fitness wise too because we're not defending so many sets.

Second cleanest team in Super League.

Any stats for tries in the last quarter, because Billy Mallinson has certainly got them fitter than ever this season.

Drew against a struggling Bradford side

Lost to an injury ravaged Leeds side

Struggled in the first halves against the bottom two clubs who are only just better than Championship standard

Lost to a struggling Wire team who got took close by Celtic the week after

Played really well at Saints but only just took the points in the dying seconds.

Do we honestly think we're playing well?? Sure our fitness is good, discipline is excellent but this kind of form isn't going to see us in the top 4 when other teams start firing properly.

The point is, my friend is that the games you have just pointed out would have easily gone the other way last year, leaving us on about 3 points as it stands.

Instead, our second half fitness and discipline has been the reason behind us putting big scores on Super League competition.

An ugly win is still 2 points
