JUST LIKE TO THANK MICK VELLA FOR BEING A TRUE GENT MY BABY SISTER SENT HIM A GET WELL CARD ALONG WITH A PICTURE SHE HAD DRAWN, AND ASKED FOR A SIGNED PHOTO MICK WENT ONE STEP FURTHER AND SENT HER HIS SHORTS FROM LAST YEAR SIGNED AND WITH A MESSAGE. THANKS ALOT MICK MY LITTLE SISTER WAS THRILLED TO BITS MICK VELLA TRUE GENT |

Having had dealings with players from both Rovers and Hull in the past i know they go out of their way to accomodate fans wishes if at all possible. Lots of this work goes on behind the scenes and the vast majority will probably be unaware of these gestures....unless it happens to relate to their own family or friends. I am sure this happens at other clubs and as the Rugby League family we should be proud of these guys and long may it last. |

I wonder if some of the prima donna premier league footballers care enough about the fans to do this sort of thing. |
