dont u think its time we put a bid in for him or even try and get the fans to pay his wages the rfl go on about local talent and he is a east hull lad coming from ryhill we would benifit allot for having him in our team and it would be good to see another local in our expanding team

I'm sure I remember reading similar quotes on here a few years back when it was mentioned Paul Cooke could 1 day play for Rovers and look what happened :wink:

Forget it, he's Saints through and through and will be even when he retires which is fair enough considering what moving to Saints has done for his life and career.

Besides, according to him we only signed "4 good players" at the start of 2008.

We need to look to the future and follow the example set by FC cos we've got some great young kids coming through and I think they'll benefit by learning off stable quality professionals such as Galea & Newton rather than inane ramblers like Wilkin.

wilkin was brought through the rovers rank we only sold him because he wanted to go to manchester uni he is rover through and through why do you think he never celebrates when he scores against us he loves hkr and is still a young lad it wouldnt suprise me if he was hear next year or the year after his family is in hull

He signed a 5 year deal last year I think (or the year before).

He's an adopted Saint now mate. Gotta remember in St Helens they ain't got nowt in the town apart for their Rugby League team and a glass factory so it's insular environment means the players are treated like super-star royalty and I think that's something Wilkin has been accustomed to and wouldn't want to leave.

In Hull, we've got 2 SL teams, a Premier League football team and even an Elite league Ice Hockey so it's a completely different environment to the above.

Would have been good if Wilkin would have stayed along with the likes of Wheeldon, Washbrook etc. but the players had to do what was best for their respective careers at the time and now we have to stop looking about what players have gone on to pastures new and bring through own own.

yea but he went for uni now he is a established rugby player id like to see him down at kr again as would any rovers fan he is one of gb best and sts look for him allot
