Better than breaking even, going down and not getting a franchise. Not sustainable in the long-term, obviously.

I do think franchises and the criteria they will be based on have distorted the old view of Pro RL as a game played between two teams of 13 men (plus subs), on a grass pitch, between white H-shaped sticks. It is like a less joyful version of monopoly sometimes now.

So, in comparison with Hull, who have a real net liability position of just under £370k (I have taken the liberty of ignoring the nonsence figure of player valuation which is a blind stab in the dark), I'd say rovers financial statements were in a more risky state.

And thats with a wealthy backer.
