Hello to all from East Yorkshire.

I was at Odsal earlier today and just thought that I would enlighten you on the current state of the stadium.

The pitch and terraces are all still covered in hard snow (no more then four inches thick). The concourse and steps are the main concern as they are a death trap at the moment with the ice and so the game is looking very much 50/50 as yet more snow and sleet falls from the sky over Bradford as I type this ( I live just 3 miles from the ground).

The forecast for Friday into Saturday is not good either as yet more snow and rain are predicted and the temperature is expected to be the minus too.

The pitch should be fine when the ground staff clear the snow, but the main concern has got to be the health and safety of the spectators on the terraces and stadium concourse with the ice (70% of Odsal's capacity is made up of the massive terraces on the popular side and the Rooley lane end).

I will endeavor to keep you updated. Let's hope this game gets the go ahead.

All the best Mick.

Thanks for that Mick, hope the game does go ahead, the Bulls won't be looking forward to having two games to rearrange and Rovers will be wanting a run out before taking on the Rhinos.

Just swap it to Craven Park and play the one later in the season to Odsal?

travel arrangements for fans would make it unfair to swap it i feel with not enough time to get coaches for the Bradford fans to get across or for Kr fans who don't live in hull time to plan journeys

That is a good idea in principle.

I'll post it on our forum to see the reaction.

Not sure at the moment, I passed Odsal this morning and it doesn't look too good, i'm not looking forward to another mid-week fixture though. And, also I'm still really looking forward to my club's first SL game of 2009, not sure when that'll be though!

I would rate this as still 50/50 even though the sun is out now and should help melt the snow.

But the popular side is the main concern as this doesn't get any sunlight at all.
