Didn't enjoy the game or the day at all but thank heavens for no MPG.

It felt a bit anti climatic in the end.

I thought it was a professional performance, not a great one, we did what we needed to do. The difference this week was that the senior players in McGuire, Scruton and Blair really stood up. I really like Atkin, I think he's improving all the time, he's not afraid to get involved and he continues to become more consistent. Lee had a really good game, defended superbly at times and Mulhern continues to be a machine.

Further recruitment in either a full back or a half back, a centre and we still need that big nasty prop is required. I wonder if the signings of Lannon and Hauraki signal Bobby Blair's retirement? I hope not.

I think I spent so much of the week preparing for the worst, then feeling even worse when O’Brien kicked that drop goal for TWP, that I didn’t really know how to feel at the end. The radio coverage was pretty matter of fact too, and it was just all a bit understated.

There wasn’t the buzz of Shaw’s long range try last year, for example. But really, this is enormous. It feels like we’ve shaken off a burden. Today something could have gone wrong... and it didn’t.

What a good job Tim Sheens has done of picking us, dusting us down and getting us back to where we are now. Into a massive headwind of misfortune this year too.

'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.

Relief is certainly the feeling.

It's been a tough season and the qualifiers are unbelievably tense, they really take their toll on the players of all clubs involved. Now we have negotiated them the club can build with a little more confidence.

Here's to 2019.

So how exactly did you expect RH to celebrate your 32nd consecutive year of utter mediocrity?

Well that was a weird season and I'm just glad it's over and we can hopefully move on now. On current form, lets hope we get to play our illustreous west of the city rivals three times next year!

Agree 100%,players like blair are invaluable, always give 100%,play wherever required by the club,a glowing example to the younger players. My clubman of the year.

Firstly I owe the team an apology. I spent all week saying we'd choke so fair play they really stood up to the task and were very professional in their job. We move on.

Secondly, and I'm trying not to take anything away from Rovers, but how bad were Widnes? If I were a TWP fan I'd be seriously annoyed at their attitude to the game. They seemed to come out late for the warm-up and looked very dis-interested in that. Then on the field from the first minute they didn't look like they wanted to be there, shoulders slumped, heads down etc. I wish them all the best next year but they need a serious rocket.

I'd expect RH and HDM to have a small piece on our lucky escape whilst gushing over Radford achieving 11 straight glorious losses due to whole squad injured and no other team had any injuries ever.

I never ever thought I would be glad that we don’t have a game next week? Job done now let’s get sorted for next year& push on to hopefully better things. I am looking forward to seeing some of the younger players grow into this team.

Well done boys. Was ridiculously nervous about that one.
Next season, no more crazy run of injuries would be nice for once. Now it,s all about who stays, goes, and comes in.
Got to agree about Blair, he was fantastic yesterday.
Re.Craig Hall, of course other clubs are sniffing, but I think he wants to stay, I think most supporters want him to stay.
Craig,just stay.
