I don't see any better options being available in SL. I don't know if Ratchford is or was ever a realistic target, but I'd rather stick with SM. He might not be the ideal SO due to lack of pace, but there has to be an element of 'if it ain't broke...'. Plus we might finally get some continuity in Rovers hb pairing. If we can find a top SO in the NRL, capable of 'taking us to the next level', then brilliant, especially if he can cover 7 - and maybe the club will pull a rabbit out of the hat. I'd rather strengthen elsewhere than pay big money for an ordinary player, though. If we're going to be sticking with playing a prop at LF, another playmaker is less of a priority too.

Also ill chuck in an extra £5 on an outside bet for him to get 1st try in his 1st game, all money goes to said charity.
I'll nominate the NSPCC. You can nominate another for me to donate my £5 when the signing is announced. I'll pay take your bet for try scorer as well, but to make it fairer, it doesn't have to be the first try and a try assist (last kick or pass) can count too.

P.S. signing on loan also counts.

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really!
SPOT ON!
