I half find myself wanting to ask you what you think Rovers problem is but also half realising it would be the biggest mistake i make this week.....and its only monday.

Well your a Hull fans, not like you can say uve seen much of him is it? the times we've been on sky our FULL team as been woeful; so that takes it down to errrr 1 derby game?

For me he was MOM on sunday - massive hits going in; how Vella got it only proves to me that those sponsers that pick really dont have a clue.

Joel does hit the ball up hard and makes good yards, but the fact he is a straight line runner rather than a prop with footwork and technique is why i would use him from the bench where i think he'd be far more useful to the team. Also i'm assuming when you said line speed you meant ruck speed. Rovers ruck speed problems are down in main to slow and inconsistent play the ball speed. Its an area Rovers have show very little improvement in imo.

Seen him a few times on SKY. If you watch the youtube footage he looks very impressive (until the head clash) and I've seen none of that in the games I've watched him play

I'll answer anyway.

I think it's a combination of having no recognised quality 6, not using Murrell at 13, Galea and Newton not living up to last years form and a relatively weak front row with only Clinton and Vella been upto it and even then Vella is strapped up like mad every week. I also think there's a serious lack of impact from Rovers interchange bench, something which most top teams need.

Just my view looking from the outside and based purely on what i see on TV and the reports i read.

You seriously thought Clinton was mom yesterday?? FWIW i didn't think Vella was either but he played a hell of a lot more minutes than Clinton and was completely error free.

I thought Welham was mom in all honesty.
