Why not learn from last season's experiences by all clubs and do what most have done this year and announce the signings subject to visa? If you feel Rovers are handling this well, with Morgan saying he's not signed but Rovers are interested, Clinton's agent saying he's signed, Hudgell saying he should get a visa eventually and the press speculating on a possible salary cap, feckup then I'm pleased for you.

I think the problem is no one thought that the club would lose upward of half a mil a year for such along time. and that someone would have to act as a guarantor ~(sorry about spelling) as I cannot see the banks just giving money out in this climate without someone being responsible. and when you get to 3 to 4 mil with no end in sight it starts to hurt. but maybe i am just wrong

What you need is a chairman who has some business acumen, who doesn't make decisions based upon his love for the club and jealousy towards your neighbours.
What I have always said. Hudgell is a passionate rovers fan, no doubt, but the things he has done (a lot to spite FC0 have been to the detriment of rovers.

But you can't do anything but admire what he hs done for HKR. I am sure he will fully admit that there have been mistakes along the way, but he took over a ramshackle club and has pulled them up by the boot strings and developed a team and club which are far from a laughing stock.
If only we as a game had a few more passionate people with the desire to do what he has done. I take my hat off to him and others in the city who have managed to get us to the point we are today. We have two very vibrant clubs who are rightly vying for top places in SL. We have crowds on the up and a feel good factor around the area that is the best it has been for many many years.
I genuinely hope that if he is selling up or passing on the club that another passionate person comes in and the club move forward and don't regress.
A very sensible post both sets of fans must realise that the two SL Teams in Hull vying for the top eight positions benefit RL no end. Apart from the monetary benefits when the Derby Games come around and the rivalry of course the local talent in this area now have two teams to pick from.

We used to have. Between them they virtually bankrupted the sport, and would have destroyed themselves trying to compete with Wigan if not for the Salary Cap.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

replace the word Wigan with 'there superior neighbours' and it begins to sound very familiar

I completely disagree and don't think Hudgell is responsible for the ill feeling between the clubs, the underlying problem and feeling of animosity comes more from west to east then the other way. The main problem being that when we were a NL1 (or NL2) club most FC fans thought that was alright and in their mind we would never get into SL. Even once we came up it would be a fun year watching us struggle (even talk of a record low points tally). Lets face it FC were grand finalists we were never going to get anywhere near competing with them.
The problem starts when we do compete and suddenly FC's little comfort zone is rocked and the fans start to twitch and need someone to aim their vitriol at so Hudgell gets it.
I personally don't see what he has done so badly wrong to FC, I suppose the Cooke thing is the major gripe, but lets be honest, as a club just promoted to be offered the chance of signing someone of the quality of PC, NH would have to be an idiot to turn it down. Do you really think it was done just to get one over on FC!!! That signing probably kept us up that year.
The big difference between East and West is simple, that lot don;t want us in SL because they're scared of not being the big men in the city, personally I'd rather have them in it and prove we are. So jealous of FC, never have been never will be....

rats and sinking ships come to mind, the bloke was that busy trying to get one over fc with the sensationallist signing of cookie and paying mind blowing wages for overrated players. Does trevor clark ring a bell the last time the s**t hit the fan for kr,you cannot run a business this way. Personal feelings must be put aside for anything to become successful.

fc are and always will be the top club in hull just look at our attendance for the last two seasons when we were rubbish, this season we have sold more passes than your ground capacity alone. you will never get 10000 fans per game apart from when we come, even with all the success you had in the early 80,s your average attendance was only 7500 the problem with kr fans are they are glory hunters and support the team when they are winning,if you disagree with me what was your average attendance when northern ford
