How FC can claim they are a conveyor belt of young players is beyond me, correct me if i'm wrong but wont they be have a full quota of o/seas or non fed players next year including a starting pack that wont contain any uk born players.

They may produce young players but how many go on to produce there potential in a Hull shirt the majority of these players seem to have to leave to give their careers a kick start.

The Briscoes and Houghton may be ones to come through (and for england purposes I hope they do) but if the past is anything to go by hey'll just and up vilified by there own crowd and shipped off like the Tommy Lees and Graham Hornes of this world.

TBF Rovers have done pretty well out of Leeds since getting into SL (Murrell,Walker,Netherton) and so did Hull when they were trying to establish themselves in SL (Dowes,Raynor,Carvell). Ratu has a decent pedigree and will get the chance to establish himself as a SL player, a chance he may well not have got at Leeds.

Hull haven't been averse to signing players from Leeds either on permanent contracts or as ashort term fixwhen their own junior players are not deemed by the coaching staff to be good enough at the time.

Leeds and wigan have an enviable record of producing young players , which other clubs must try to aspire to.
With the numbers concerned it is of course the way , that some players will seek new clubs to further their careers and prospects.

There's a big difference between reserves and SL. Hodgson got our reserves player of the year but wasn't good enough to take the place of someone we released for not being good enough (Lee)
