Just a quick question, if joining this club gives people money off season passes etc and it will save the fans in the long run why dont they just simplify things and knock the price of the passes and shirts? (only driver i can see for doing this club thing is that immediate need for a cash injection as rumoured, unless you know something different?)

There was obviously a reason they introduced this club. What the need for cash for will obviously be speculated upon forever and I honestly have no idea I can only guess as much as the next person.

And as for not caring about Loyal fans the club gave the current pass holder the option to join, should you not take it they are well within there rights to offer that place to others who are willing to join as they gave you first refusal on it.

Club Rovers works because we have limited space to get people in, The East stand, Well and Roger Millward stand are sold out for every game except for the few tickets they hold back for the sales leading upto the game. It wouldn't work at many other clubs because they don't fill the stands

I agree they should have read the literature more carefully. They were a bit surprised at having to pay with 2 months of the current season still to go (they didn't want to do the instalment options) - their words not mine.

In terms of the vouchers, I think they were expecting to receive a voucher, perhaps misled by the statement in the brochure: "In addition you will receive vouchers for the shop in September 2009"

Totally understand the reply and where its coming from, i just dont agree with it as an approach. It kind of removes the choice to join the club when you have to in order to get your usual seat. I dont agree with fans choice been taken away i guess.

Obviously they weren't supporters last year then because Rovers put their passes on sale at a similar stage of the season then IIRC....the extra month of this season include the play offs....a concept your club were once accustomed with.
Perhaps, like other products, if not received (and they obviously are aware of the matter) that revolutionary new gadget called a telephone is now available and can be used to enquire about things like this.

Maybe they could have offered him the opportunity to purchase his seat at the new prices? But then again that could have opened a can of worms

There's options. I feel for this bloke because he was hugely annoyed and feeling let down by rovers. Maybe people who have their reserved seat could have been given the option to renew and keep it first before club rovers people?
