I'm sturggling to understand why this 17 man squad has been named. When it includes injured players and no players in certain postitions, you have to wonder why it's been named at all and what it's supposed to acheive
Surely announcing a strong 25 which includes players like Briscoe, Fox, Hock, Gleeson, Lynch, Pryce etc... would have made more sense?

Let me think, picking up the odd international honour or some silverware? Tough decision.
Have they brought in a new trophy for beating harlequins another trophy we have missed out on so far this season

As a Rovers fan I can honestly say I am not fussed if we get none in and never have been, my first and only priority is Rovers. Let the other clubs risk their best players in the middle of a tough season.

I agree - I just worry about a perception developing that playing for Rovers is unhelpful to a player's International prospects. If Wellens is done with England, Briscoe has little meaningful competition and if Fox hasn't done enough to convince Smith, you wonder if he ever can. Sometimes coaches just don't fancy certain players. If the 4 nations turns into another debacle for England (and I'll hope it doesn't, even if no HKR players are involved), then I think Justin Morgan could do a good job on a part-time basis.
