It stinks, Judges should be forced to answer to someone on why they decide to pass such weak sentences.

At the very least the RFL should ban him for a period of time. They have a responsibility to protect players and anyone capable of kicking someone in the head in ‘the heat of them moment’ must be a risk. How many ‘heat of the moments’ occur during a game?

But if the crime "deserves" the sack we can reasonably take it that someone who has committed such a crime does not "deserve" to be re-employed and in fact they couldn't be because then anyone the new employer had sacked for kicking someone in the head would have very strong grounds for a case of unfair dismissal...hmmm how does that work then?

It certainly is a long list and serves to highlight the difficulties surrounding this particular case as well as the two faced nature of many of the posts on this thread.

I think the club should impose some sort of punishment, however I think sacking him would limit the opportunities for him to atone for his sins. Some good could come out of this situation but I think most could be gained by him being retained within the club, not outside of it.

If there was none does that mean they were any less brutal?
