What could I possibly blame them for? I don't feel sorry for them because they've only had an RL team for 5 minutes and it's hardly like I said they shouldn't exist. They are a joke club, only slightly more than Wakefield I admit, but Wakey's fans have had their team for over 100 years and have a true tradition in the game, they should be the fans to feel sorry for.
Kosh wrote:What are you talking about? Crusaders were saved because the owners re-financed the club. Part of that re-financing package was a mortgage on the ground against a loan from the RFL. I'm sure Wakey could have put together a similar package if only they hadn't already sold their ground and blown the proceeds
This part is laughable, Wakey made several attempts with the RFL, who basically snubbed them to help Crusaders. A club with a 100 year history deserves to be treat better, especially when it wasn't the owners who had got them in the mess in the first place asking.
Kosh wrote:If I had ever suggested that Crusaders should get a licence ahead of Wakey - or indeed anyone else - then you might have a point.
I never suggested you did, I posted a question, it was you that reacted.
Kosh wrote:You might try reading posts before reacting to who posted them.
Again, you reacted first. So you're making yourslef look silly saying things like this.
Kosh wrote:And Wakey may well be 'widely expected' to not get a franchise, but the facts are that they're still in the process and up against every existing SL club as well as (in theory) Fax and Barrow. It's not a straight shoot-out between them and Crusaders, no matter how much some people want to make it out to be.
Of course it is. Although i'm sure you're being more niggly with this comment than naive.
