My initial point was about expecting Spaven to share Hodgsons big aspirations for 2010 given that they are the same age.
My personal viewpoint is that Hodgson will start the season in Reserve grade in much the same way Wheeldon did for us in 2009 until he reaches the standards that Rovers expect from its players, but will grasp the opportunity with both hands when he gets his chance and cement his place.
Having watched Spaven over the past 3 seasons i have seen a rate of progression but have doubts that he will ever become an established Super League player. Would be very happy to be proved wrong on that one though.
