The cup final incident apart which was just an individual losing control which cost his side a final I've always seen Flower as a tough old fashioned prop who plays things near the edge. Today's tackle was cynical and not even needed as the other 2 had stopped Storton. It's a tactic Mcillorum under Wane employed and seen Powell isa Leauliua plus the 2 Chav props doing it again last season and half or so. Flower was only doing what he is coached. Should have been a red.

Mistimed! Lol! He didn’t need to get involved in the tackle period!! I hope Flower cops a career ending injury very soon as he seems so intent on doing it to fellow professionals.

He can get involved as the third man but only if he makes the legs tackle above the knees. Clearly goes below the knees and that is a dangerous tackle resulting in injury.
Would expect a severe sanction as this kind of tackle was banned years ago. At least a 3-4 week ban to reinforce the rule.
