Wind your rather long neck in. I probably saw more of Rovers at home than you last season - we got that Roving Far and Wide thing for Mr B's dad and there were several games that he didn't want to re-watch, which of course were quite appealing to me. Further evidence, if any were required, of Warrington's ability to entertain. I'm going to bed now. Please be aware that any failure to respond to delusional pro-Rovers ranting is not because I'm stumped by your well-informed argumentation, but because I'm asleep or at work. Not both, mind.

I really hate multi quote/reply .... sigh

You brought other teams into it - mentioning Saints n Leeds. You classed them as entertaining, Rovers just so happened to have scored more points than the two of them whilst matching their home records. They're entertainers tho and Rovers aren't app - yet in terms of entertainment surely points scored and games won are pretty high up, if trying to rate aspects of entertainment.
I never said Wigan were boring. I said that they weren't highly entertaining as their interminable wrestle and penchant for trying to twist the opposition's limbs doesn't make them entertaining in the mould of Warrington for example. I love Sam Tomkins and his prodigious amount of talent. He is exciting and entertaining. Wigan overall are not so much, in my opinion. Terrific Not hugely entertaining then.
Perhaps I misinterpreted the complaints about Morgan's rigid structure last season, unwillingness to change things round when things weren't effective, reluctance to play players like Craig Hall to bring some attacking prowess into the team. Or perhaps those memories have conveniently been swept aside on the euphoria ushered in by the arrival of Graeme Horne, David Hodgson our good friend Mr Canoe Tits. Understandable. Bless ... again define entertainment. Our games were often tight - we shipped points, we scored points. Overall I witnessed some good entertainment @ CP last season.

Actually, it's easier than that.

I'd say, let's keep our powder dry, but that would infer a challenge.
It never is.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Tempted to close this one and start a did Rovers entertain in 2011 thread.
I will say i form an opinion of whether a team is entertaining based on what they do with ball in hand as opposed to defence. Whilst Wigan's defensive approach stifles opposition attacks i found them a very good team to watch on attack. Some of the tries they scored last season were fantastic and with players like Sam Tomkins, Pat Richards and Josh Charnley in the 17 i dont see how they could not be classed equally as entertaining as the other top sides.

I don't think Rovers played a particularly entertaining style of rugby, even when doing (relatively) well. But when you're winning games that is pretty easy to forgive. Entertainment value matters more when you're watching as a neutral, IMO. I do think our conservative approach became a bit predictable in the last couple of years, and therefore easy for the opposition to manage. We perhaps didn't quite have the pack to provide a platform for more expansive play, but we were also slightly stuck in a rut. Even if we hadn't got a new coach I think we really needed a fresh approach.
