On the face of it this looks like a very good signing but there are a few things that trouble me with it. Hodgson has played the best rugby of his career on the left wing so are we going to see Fox shifted back to the right where he has gone on record as stating he is not as happy? Failing that are we going to see Hodgson playing at full back given that his signing has coincided with the announcement of Briscoes departure? The biggest thing that concerns me though is actually how much he wants to be here. He has turned down contracts from both Rovers and Hull pretty much every year over the past 5/6 years. This contract with Rovers was agreed at the back end of last year despite his missus having a real reluctance to move to this city. At the last minute Widnes came in with a better financial offer than us. Given that he has just, i believe, bought a house in Hessle i would have called his bluff but instead Rovers upped their offer to match the Chemics. In short i think that we could have a Gareth Carvell situation on our hands if Daves missus gets bored of the 2 hour drive to the Trafford Centre every day.

It'll be reet, Meadowhall's only about an hour isn't it?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I just meant that I don't think Colbon would have scored that try (e.g. have had the pace), but again no offence. If Byron Ford on the other hand had took it I don't reckon the Catalans players would have even bothered giving chase!
