Club captain in positive rallying of troops and fans shocker.
Disgraceful, should be sacked.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Real shame for t'steam pigs that and the competion in general. I've enjoyed watching Orford this year, quality player.

As poor / inconsistent as we’ve been I’d say 7th or 8th place is looking likely at the moment.
What are the chances of Hull vs Rovers in the 1st round of the play-offs?
8th vs 5th or 7th vs 6th. At the moment it looks a real possibility. They'll be straining for top 4, but'll do well to hold off Leeds or catch the others. Long way to go, but coming at them from behind would be something of a shot to nothing with the potential for mild amusement. Much as I admire Vella's brio, this competition is too tight for all but the very top teams to put on a long winning run. Random reffing might help us out in a game or two, but across 10 games it is bound to cost you at least once. Maybe now the competition is tighter the effects of ref's mistakes are magnified? Although scores seem to be getting wider, strangely - even while which way it'll go becomes harder to predict.

You are right, he should have come out and said well we'll only win 4 out of the last 10 games and for good measure he should have told us who they will be against and what score they will be

it'll become harder
Absolute filth, RBA told me off for saying ar5e the other week, won't somebody think of the children? Wash your mouth out with soap and water and then go to your room and have a long hard think about what you've done.

I see what you did there
Much as I admire Vella's brio...
I don’t think Vella actually believes we’ll win the last 10 games, more likely just gave a predictable response to a leading question. You have to approach every game believing you can win. If he’d suggested otherwise people would be calling for his head as captain.

Even after 50-60 mins of arm wrestle if one side gets a roll on the points can flow quickly. Hard, dry pitches lead to a lot of score blowouts.[/quote]
