That was roughly the total cost. Rovers are trying to secure funding from a number of sources - from commercial partners to regeneration grants, I think I've heard/read at various times.
Obviously Rovers want this to happen and it'd make the day more pleasant for visiting fans, including at the derby. The cynic in me thinks that some Hull fans would regret the reduced potential for mocking us, though.
As a dyed in the wool armchair fan, I'm not going to judge anybody for missing any game for any reason, btw.

You can judge me if you like. I won't be there on Good Friday. I look forward to hearing snippets of Hudgell's accusations of FC selling the fans short/subsidised stadium jibes etc in the programme, mind.
Funding's difficult to secure at the moment, I'd guess, and ATEOTD, a 1,500 stand would benefit 1,500 people max for 2 hours, 13 times a year. I'm guessing that there may be other investment opportunities that provide better benefits to more people?
