Maybe Catalan were under performing for us to go 12-6 up, got their half time butt bashing and came out and finished strong against an under prepared Rovers team that had been subject to the underhand French tactics with regards training that Justin Morgan often spoke of.
Sounded like the young lads stood up well, interesting to hear the views of those that travelled, Carlile got a game.

Understand the sentiment but underprepared? 12-6 up at half time. Maybe their coach gave a better speech I dont know but we were in a position to win and again fell short.
The late penalties and fatigue later in games could be down to you not having a front row with big engines, Paea and Clinton don't do big minutes and you don't have a prop that can do 60 minutes. This is a big problem with there now only being 10 interchanges?

That pretty much sums it up.
The hope would be that O'Hara fills the gap and keeps a bit of kick on the pitch when either Clinton or Paea go off, The younger lads will only get better but until then we need to put games behind teams whilst we have the big men on, The return of Green, Hodgson & Galea should make this more possible.

Were we ever going to win tonight?
Didn't listen or watch but we didn't get humped, could have been a lot worse.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Sounded "in it" for a long period of the game and I didn't think the game would come to a point where Catalan opt to kick for 2 rather than run it, twice.

It's a transition and will take time.
Not at all. However like many I'm upset that we get the scoreline to 6-12 in our favour and then for 25 mins do our damnnest to let Catalan get free metres by piggybacking them up field with soft penalties like laying on and stripping the ball out. That is unacceptable and has been the story of our season so far.
