2009 89 missed tackles - 3rd most in the competition
2010 59 missed tackles - 10th most in the competition
2011 57 missed tackles - 10th most in the competition
Average 68 missed tackles a season. Rounded up, of course.
Yeaman over that time period missed 33 tackles per season. Also, as you point out, Yeaman's ratio is better than Welham's.
I think there is a dearth of quality centres in the competition. Paul Newlove is the last international class centre we had IMO.
