size doesnt make you or stop you knocking on does it? 2 bad errors from the kid, but as i said earlier he was on his own out there, he should have had better protection under the high ball, the try Cudjoe scored when he beat Fox to the high ball, Welham just stood where he was and watched, he should have been in front of Cudjoes run, i think its called blocking a player, other teams do it.

Yes, sorry, I forgot how ripped Tomkin's is. A good off-season for the lad and he can build up to acceptable SL level IMO. ATEOTD, if rumours are true, no decent overseas players will touch you with a barge pole and there isn't an abundance of English FBs out there.. maybe Phelps will sign for you?

First time iv seen him play, and im not naive enough to base my opinions on the lad on one game BUT it was disappointing to see him struggle. Still, at 18 hes got time to develop and i hope he keeps improving because hes obviously got talent or he wouldnt be where he is now
'Its like the jungle out there, only the strong survive and the weak get killed off and that's whats happened in Hull. They'll run to the end of the season then that's it, they'll be gone, there will be no more Hull Kingston Rovers there's no room for them.'
He will have to be handled carefully for the next week or so & encouraged to play normaly. If he trys to go out & try to make up for last night he could end up being embarassed. He has to be given a few games to prove to himself & the rest that he is good enough. I think his attacking play & handling is OK the rest is confidence & game time.
Like you shouldnt build up youngsters to be world beaters after a good game or two you also should not write them off after a poor display. He will learn from the experiance. Hull have the same situation with Reece Lynn.

Tomkins gets away with it by being behind an outstanding defence and also being possibly the most talented British player in a generation.
What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
