Not withstanding the fact that he will be playing behind a pack that seems have have forgotten how to go forward. Morgan will stick with Murrell because he trusts him to do the job after the way he stepped into the half back role last season.
When does he get his chance then? apart from the next ten weeks Dobbo is likely to play every minute of every match, as will Green, and will never be rested. Would we want to play him at home against a wily Jarrod Sammut / Michael Witt, or away against Salford with a wily Daniel Holdsworth. Give him a go, if he's good enough he'll show some signs of improvement. With Scotty at 13 and Galea in the back row he'll get enough help and if it gets tough they'll be able to move up and take some of the weight off.
Personally think if he doesn't get his chance now he never will and will afirm that Morgan wont let a young player ever have a pivotal position.

According to the HDM scotty is going to be at 7 and green at 6, so maybe our big players ie Vella and Clinton, galea need to step up a gear and support the backs, what about when webbo comes back drop colbon and put hall on the wing, I do think it's the right thing to do in operating now as more damage could have Been done the more weeks he would have played. Scotty needs to up his kicking game as we all know he is more than capable of this.

Bell was playing still playing under-18s last year, wasn't he? If he is amongst the best 17 players available, then I'm confident Morgan will pick him. The coaches see him train regularly - they'll know how close he is. I want him to be ready, but if he isn't yet that isn't a reflection on the club's overall commitment to developing players.

My one worry about Morgan is his seemingly lack of trust he puts in the younger players to play pivotal positions. We saw a couple of years ago when Briscoe was injured and he drafted in Haynes (i think it was). the kid was being touted as an exceptional FB in the U20's, so JM played him on the wing and moved our then winger (fitzy) to FB. It was a disaster and the kid got hung out to dry. Why we felt the need to blood the kids out of position on the wing is beyond me. Even seasoned pro's (briscoe) look terrible when played out of position. So if the lads are to get a go give them the most chance and play them in their preferred position.
The one thing about SH is that defence isn;t a big issue, most SH are the weak link in defence so all he'll have to concentrate on is his attack, if the pack muscle up againts a smallish cas pack he could show us what he's about. Must be worth a try cos scotty isn;t a 7 as long as he's got a hole in his ar5e.

When was the last time Saints paid a fee? All their spare cash is going into a new stadium, no way would they stump up a sizeable wedge this season. They will cover Eastmond from their excellent Jr ranks.

I would have thought Dobbo's next move will be back to oz, moving within SL would seem a bit pointless unless he was going to a club likely to challenge for honours in the near furture. Everyone knows Saints are starting there downward spiral as all there true talent is nearing retirement age and their only real prospect is off to RU. Reckon if wigan called he'd have his head turned but no one else.

Warrington or Leeds may also interest him if he wants silverware.
