No reply to the 14,000 capacity submission included in Rovers franchise document I see, and the fact that in that context, 10,000 Club Rovers fans next year would seem a bit of a weak target. Although since reaction to it has been "mixed" to quote your chairman and people still either don't understand it or don't think it represents good value, maybe they're right to dial down expectations.
What do you think the RFL would rather have.
A team who promises an increased capacity of 14k that actually delivers on an increase to 12k ish (sounds very possible if the east stand gets done).
Or a team who promises on a new ground who actually delivers diddly squat by the next set of franchises?
You are obviously reveling in this but can you think of another SL/RL club that has done as much as we have financially (Pitch, Floodlights, Extensions, Golf stand and New bars) in the same time scale?
TBH I expect you to either avoid the subject or try and spin a negative angle on it.
I hope for a shock but I doubt it.

Not really, you've put a lot of work into Craven Park for sure.
Just needs a wind break behind the zebrugge stand and all will be well.

At least you can see that the same things that Hudge sees that being that CP is better but still not perfect.
In the currect climate timescales need to be moved but how anyone can say that possibly 'only' extending the east stand to make CP a 12k ish ground from a sub 10k ground with a postage stamp pitch, Floodlights that wouldn't light my front room, Nothing but a pile of mud at the north end and a total lack of facilities for anyone unless they were in the RM stand is a bad thing is beyond me.

Leigh Sports Village (just opened), Keepmoat stadium , Stade Gilbert Brutus (only held 4,200 before 2007)
Your progress and investment has been admirable, but other clubs are delivering as well. Ambition is one thing, but you can't have a love-in for Paul Lakin one year for claiming to anyone and everyone that the capacity "will be 14,000 by the start of the 2010 season" then a year later not expect to be reminded of those lofty promises. Your chairman has just said that funding is not in place for the East stand, and the North and South timescales keep slipping. I appreciate you're not on your own, but investing in extra capacity requires confidence that it will be filled, and when you've not had a sellout all season (yet ) and crowds have not increased vs last year despite running at 2nd/3rd for the majority of the season, you can understand that the business case might be less than compelling.

Reminded Ill give ya but you went way past 'reminded' months ago and you know it.
Baring in mind that both Leigh and Donny were in NL1/Champ when those stadia were built how much do you think they funded themselves?
The lights, Pitch, drainage were I belive all funded by HKR we are talking a figure getting close to Ā£1m as well btw.
I do doubt that either Donny or Leigh had those kind of funds for their stadia if you know diffrent then great.
With regard to Wakey I hope they do get their stadium built but I do however find it strange that you are beating us over the head with a statement from HKR and yet you quote a statement from another club that still havent even laid 1 brink in the build of its 'new stadium' yet.
The same stadium which the have been building for...................how long has it been again?

Wakefield got into SL on the promise of a new stadium and that was 10 years ago.
