Hull still do tend to get the 'elite' young players and focus on them and view the Academy and Reserve grade as more about development as opposed to results.

Ive said it on our own board and got slagged off for it but the fact is there are alot of players who play Academy/Reserve grade who have no chance of making it to SL and are simply there to make up the numbers hence the standard being so poor.

But if they are getting beat then surely the teams beating them are developing their players better or have more quality players.

Thats the key point it was clear your clubs recruitment drive was about getting alot of good players as opposed to highlighting 3 or 4 very good players and building the side around them which is what FC have done.

I think what he is getting at is that Hull have 4/5 quality players that should make SL and some very average ones making up the numbers, while Rovers players making up the numbers are of better quality.

The test of how succesful your juniours are is how many players from your setup back it as first team players.

This is still a bit off looking at your squad for Sheffield in which I thought more players from your youth might have got a game, such as Spaven.
