hudgel not worried according to the wail which all points to no relegation and he's rightly biding his time. Better to finish bottom this year than sign players who aren't the right fit when you can be planning for future seasons. Frustrating for fans but definitely the right long term approach for the club

BMM, Sarginson, Lui and Joe Greenwood were, if true, the right types of targets. Having missed out, there's not an awful lot of point signing more squad players at the moment. With non-fed spots and presumably some cap available, it gives us some flexibility to adapt as the season progresses.

Luke Page has played 1 (one) first grade club game at the age of 27. Compared to BMM, Sarginson, Todd Carney, even Lui that would be a disappointing signing. I would prefer to hang on for some quality.

Well we needed to add quality and size/power and, frankly, we haven't. We did need to cut away some deadwood after 2016, but with the way the market has gone it feels a bit like we've lost at musical chairs. I'm a bit worried that 'they're a big strong team' might become for Sheens what 'team full of internationals' was for Sandercock.

But they'll get my full support and hopefully Carney, Lunt, McGuire and Masoe stay fit for most of the season and we can scrap our way to a few wins. Come round 10 or 12 though, we need to take stock and if we're struggling start planning for the middle 8s. No talk of 'looking up, not down' and sticking our heads in the sand.

Not sure you need more squad players. I would have thought with £500k (according to a fan) left on the cap you'd sign better quality.

Tickle was awful last season but the other fella might be worth a punt.

I thought tickle was past it in his last year at FC. This signing is a real headshaker.

The real question is on tickles value, if he's getting paid minimal and as a back up then its not a bad option especially as a middle man. I don't think he was signed to enhance the team but probably provide back up as scruton and johnson could be mid term injuries. If that's the case then i don't think its bad value.
