The OP is a troll and the thread is intentionally provocative. Although there is nothing wrong in being provocative if it tries to elicit interesting responses, rather than simply trying to mock or annoy, it is hardly a surprise this thread has ended up like so many before it, unfortunately.

We don't need too many new signings. 4 players have left the club and 3 have joined from other clubs. There is a feeling that a prop who can make yards and offer something different in attack would be very welcome and a couple of rumours of more players leaving - but I imagine that'll only happen if replacements can be lined up.

You've got a couple of trolls that hit the spot, but most others seem to focus on areas of massive unconcern. Ours are exactly the same of course. You'd almost think that trolls are more likely than other posters to be of less than average intelligence.

fair point Mild. I really cannot be bothered with the trolling, yeah i have my moments at times when i get a sly little dig in but not if it is derailing a thread.

The OP may have started the thread with the intent to get a few bites but i think the subject is one that concerns a few Rovers supporters. If you get lucky again and avoid a lot of injuries you should be fine. However the odds of being able to perform to a high quality with a very light squad will be tested to the limit especially if you get a coule of injuries to some influential forwards.

We lost Vella for a good chunk and Fozzy was missing as well. I think we had our fair share of injuries to our pack at various stages (Murrell, Galea, Fisher), the fortunate thing was we did not lose too many at once,

Yes, I'd agree. But that is the way SL is going IMO. The only team I'd say are certain to be top 4 next year are Leeds. Every other team could be derailed by bad luck with injuries or poor form from a couple of key players. The margin between success and failure is so fine with so many evenly balanced teams. There is no way Rovers can get to Leeds level of strength in depth in the short-term, so there'll be an element of crossed fingers no matter who we sign. Same for most clubs, I think.

When signings are announced they can be discussed.
