why is it over the years at all clubs in rugby league we get good players and bloody good players but they ruin their lives with of the field antics I can name another who was good yrs ago David bishop but of the field he was a plonker douse it all go to their heads
JOHN THE REDBOY I have been a rovers fan all my life and my grandkids are as well
Absolutely gutted about this but, the club have no choice, their hand has been forced! Ben gave 100% every game without fail and unfortunately some other club will benefit from this. Good luck for the future Ben!
glad the club have made this decision. Personally felt they should have made it following the racism on facebook affair. I don't care how good he was on the pitch or if another club benefits from his signature, i'm just glad he's no longer associated with us.

RoversTrace (assuming she is mortonstalker) has a good video on YouTube of Charlie that's currently doing the rounds on Facebook, Well chosen song and a reminder of just how much he has been a part of our rise.
Have a look, titled: Charlie_0001.wmv Once there, her other videos are a good watch too, the one titled Ben Cockayne was great, 10-17 at Huddersfield IIRC, first Rovers player to the fans to celebrate, love it.
I fully expect that Charlie will get a warm welcome at NCP in the future in any shirt.

Your better off without him
I find myself in the very unusual position of agreeing with you. I just wish more rovers fans would say the same but unfortunately I believe club loyalty is still winning the day

Each to their own opinion.
On the field he was unmatched for heart and off the field he was a great lad too, I've had the pleasure of talking to Ben a fair few times and he always had time for fans.
What he got up to, in his own time, is no worse than what goes unnoticed each and every day countless times in Hull, some far worse. His identity tied up his actions and sadly has ended his stay at Hull KR.
If it hadn't been for the media sources around the modern game this wouldn't have been the outcome.
Barrie McDermott has done worse than Charlie (he was the first person in the UK charged with using CS gas in a brawl) and now is a much loved TV pundit.
