Is that eighties Canadian snooker player and enthusiastic user of Columbian marching powder Kirk Stevens you've got as your little picture now?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Yep and when he inhaled he morphed into shakin' stevens.

It is indeed. I was quite taken with him and his white suit in the early 80s, and was naively upset that he said in an interview that a huge nosebleed he'd had during an interval was due to a firedoor hitting him in the face. See, we're on topic because this is injury-related. My next major sporting crush was Graeme Fowler, left hand opening bat for Lancashire. He was a naughty boy too.

I loved Stevens, thought he was ace.
Only got over him when Tony Meo came along.
The relevance of this is?

I loved the Canadian trio of Stevens, Cliff "The Grinder" Thorburn and Bill Werbeniuk with his perm, porn tache and note from his doctor to say he needed 18 pints a night to steady his hand. Went to see them a couple of times at the Hexagon in Reading in the State Express World Team Championship. Golden era of snooker. All nostalgic now. Right, enough, I'm already on the naughty step.
How is Blake Green? Hip/back/side injury. I'm sure the lovely Shaun Briscoe will be fine, but I do worry about his long term health with all these knocks to the head.

Agree with ya but to be honest once its been established who and what its a waiting game to find out how long. We're only treading water. Lock it until we know any different.

Yeah, fair play that. How about other than Roverswall and Mild Rover, the mods actually add something to this other than turning up and bitching about what they don't like?
Would that take intelligence?
Go on, challenge yourselves.

The thread is about injuries and drifted onto players looks and Canadian snooker players from the 80's. More will be known on Monday about how the players who took knocks are so I personallly don't feel the need to comment further at this stage on that issue. Others may wish to and this is the thread in which to do so. The chat thread can discuss Kirk Stevens.
