I don't watch or particularly follow the reserves/youngsters (or the team it would appear, but that's a different story) but whose this fellow and what position does he play?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I have said in defence of Nev in the past, he is just the type you DO want in your squad, he is a 100% player who has never let us down, if people want 25 players of the calibre of Galea or Dobson, well your going to be disappointed as the salary cap will not allow it and you cannot keep them all happy. Netherton is a solid player who will be here for a few seasons yet.

With the exception of Taylor, and for a variety of reasons, I'd not be rushing to re-sign any... yet. Before binning anybody off though, you need to look at who'll be available from elsewhere and who is coming up through the ranks. And once our form (hopefully) picks up more those above will start to look like definate keepers.
I'm trying to think who the last player to leave the squad and go directly into playing retirement was... Chris Chester?

Andy Taylor was a young player full back who came through years ago and was last seen playing in the second row for Dockers. I think he must mean somebody else. Or perhaps not, the current clamour to see our Academy graduates given first team jerseys could well lead to Ant Chambers and Rob Shaw given the half backs jerseys on saturday.

Y'see, this is where it gets me. I try and heed Rovershousehusbandwall's advice and post sensibly and I end up speaking to someone who got his facts incorrect.
Not you R.B.A. obviously, the other chap.

Grafters by and large aren't appreciated in any team sport by its supporters. They don't go to watch them and as a result, their good work goes mainly un-noticed. Nev (or type of player) does a solid job but you wouldn't want a team full of them either.
Maybe if he'd have 'decked Balsawood' he'd be loved more

Out of the above list I'd definitely keep Taylor and more than likely Cockayne (his utility value and I assume he's cheap), one of either Hodgson or Fisher but not both (too alike and we need some variation at hooker, hodgeson is the more likely keep) Latus would be a keep, we need to keep faith in him and see how he develops. Vella will definitely go and Galea I can see going as well. Netherton, I think will be retained. Colbon and Briscoe, unless they vastly improve will more than likely go. If we want to go to the next level we need more pace and attack in these positions. (both to Widnes??) Cook is the forgotten man, can't see us keeping him.
