Watts will probably just be in there for the experience at this point.
However, I do feel there is a chance Murrell may actually get a shot because I think Sinfield will be used as a hooker again, Tompkins will be used as a full-back, O'Loughlin may (possibly) be used as a centre and also the number of injuries to half-backs i.e. Eastmond, Pryce, McGuire all out. McNamara may put Scotty in at loose-man and use him as a kicker cos we can't go on playing the Aussies & NZ without having someone in with a decent kicking game...
I think Sam will play in the halves as we have so many injuries there currently and that will allow Widdop to play fulback. That might have been different had McGuire and Eastmond been fit.
I can't see Murrell getting in the 17, backrow will probably be Ellis, Burgess and O'Loughlin with Sinfield possibly playing in the halves.
I think Fox will miss out too, Hall and Briscoe will probably start an I agree that Watts is probably there for the experience.

Sorry but even as the most loyal of KR fans I can't see any reason to include Briscoe. He's been very inconsistent all year and has cost us quite a few points. If last year was a 9/10 this year he's been 5/10. Very average indeed.

Sinfield seems on the wane now though, all he does is complain to the ref (at which he is still world class). Why not put Murrell in for him? He would do as good a job and maybe give the Aussies something a bit different to think about (as he's stood over them having smashed them in the tackle and forced a knock on )

Not sure Sinfield is on the wane tbh, seen no evidence of that.

Countless times. Remember a special one against Brad Drew when we where playing Shuddersfield it happened in the 1st two minutes of the game. Brad never returned to the field IIRC.

Scott would only be in the side due to his kicking as he can land a ball a yard from the line 99 times out of 100. His defence is erratic though, he makes a lot of tackles but also misses a great deal too, if we miss more than we make against the best international sides then we wont stand a chance. If we take someone just for their kicking game then why leave out Brough? His defence is questionable and he is very light but his kicking game is not far off world class.
Watts certainly isn't ready for this level but he is certainly in need of the experience, only can we afford to take a passenger when our back division are already pretty much passengers???
Widdop has been playing in the halfs hasn't he? So where do England put him? Do we put Tomkins in at full back and throw Widdop in at 6?
I must ask though is Myler really at this standard? His coach saw fit to leave him out of a big game and may well do the same again, if he isn't ready for Wembley or Old Trafford is he ready for a big international tournament? I personally hope Eastmond is fit to play there as he is someone the Aussies will have trouble with.
When Sinfield was used as a hooker I thought we looked much more stable and our go forward was very good, I'd like to see that again for sure and bring Roby on to cause havoc around the ruck.
With all this in mind lets face it we dont really have a chance anyway so why not just play our kids like Wattsy and get them ready for the World Cup??
