Most of the squads are fairly evenley matched on paper so it'll come down to which sides have the higher workrate, better coaches and best luck with injuries.

We won on our 5th attempt, however, with the possible exception of Leeds away we were very competetive in all of those 4 games. In fact we should have won on our second attempt when we were robbed against Saints when the linesman failed to put his flag up despite a player being in touch, they went on to score the winning try a couple of tackles later.

As an aside our points difference for those 4 defeats was -31, yours for 2 defeats was -50. As I said, at least we were competetive.

They were competitive though - with the possible exception of Leeds away. Always a tough fixture that, so it should probably be discounted from any further discussion.

On the sportinglife article, I kind of felt he'd made his predictions having glanced at the 'players in' section only. Playing in 2009 does not necessarily disbar a player from participating in 2010. The Bradford 'climbing to 9th' possibly arose from realizing this and belatedly noticing Sam Burgess was going to South Sydney.
