Would you be worried if we didn't make any new signings before the season starts? Personally I think we are light in the forwards and it's essential we get one quality one in. It would surprise me if Vella plays a full injury free season and if we have another injury on top of that, we are starting to look a bit thin and inexperienced. Dobson and Cooke would have trouble getting the time and space to play behind a pack with Netherton and, dare I say, Mills as starting props.
Don't worry - Hudgell has already spoken of 2 "top class" signings, and we're all agreed that the incoming players so far don't fit into that bracket. Plus GML said recently that two players are coming in at the top end of the squad.
This isn't the first time Rovers have declared recruitment as good as finished then brought someone in - just a media tactic to create an "unexpected boost", like overstating injuries etc.
