To the OP I think you're 100% right, and IMO it's disgusting, and is likely to keep costing us in future. We really could have used the spark of a creative player like Fish at various points during the game Saturday. This policy Morgan has is something that needs addressing.
Fisher is not a SL quality player, it was a mistake giving him a long extension IMO, w need a hooker with higher abilities as first choice, which will also help with Hodgsons development as a back up hooker.
Fisher would be a great top end NL1 hooker, no more.

Whilst I agree that we need a better hooker at the club, at least Fisher is exactly that; where as L Hanson is what exactly?

Disagree Fisher is a excellent Hooker, if Morgan drops players lacking form, why were Dobson and Fox playing

Slightly O/T but in hindsight would you have been better signing up Kirk Netherton and letting Morgan develop him than signing up Fisher until end 2011? I've not followed his progress at Cas, but he's played 25 games for them, plus homegrown obviously.

Gotta say I actually agree. He clearly does, e.g. Newton or Galea could have an absolute nightmare for a few games but their spots are always guaranteed.
Not knocking Justin because he's had a lot more hits then misses at Rovers, but he def made mistakes last weekend.
IMO Fisher certainly is an SL-level hooker, and might have made a difference, esp when scores were so close 2nd half.
