P.S. It would, in my defence, be that quite a lot of your own fans believe Radford has been given the deal "he" wants (and with 2 years) because one of your other targets has signed up elsewhere thus increasing his bargaining power.
Again, you are making assumptions that:
a) Radford has got absolutely everything he asked for and not budged an inch from his initial postion
b) That Radford values himself now at exactly the same salary he did 2 years ago.
Of course Radford will have better bargaining power now we've missed out on Fielden and LMS, even though it's been stated by the player, openly, that staying at FC is his first choice. But for your logic to hold, now you've missed out on a player Morgan was open about saying he wanted (Radford), that increases Mason's (who as reported in the national press wants £180,000 a year) bargaining power as you've already missed out on Lima and as you say there are precious few alternatives in the forwards available.
