Thanks. I'll settle for the national press reported number for now, plus the fact that the Aussie press are calling it "lucrative" when NRL salaries for top players are better than in SL.

"They supercede individuals, they supercede the team and they supercede the club. Our club is a traditional, working class club and the supporters are loyal and passionate and to see them go away happy really makes my day." Craig Sandercock.

Jealous? You have me mistaken.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

The 24-cap Australian international will join up with the Robins for the start of the 2011 campaign, subject to a successful medical and visa application. "The club's policy is normally to wait until all the relevant paperwork has been completed, but such is the magnitude of this signing we felt it important that the fans were the first to be informed by their club and I'm certain this will fill them with great excitement."
Oh the hypocrisy. Loving it, loving it, loving it.

What happened?
I think you're being unkind, frankly. Rovers have had a couple of very clear principles on this subject the last couple of years: 1) Announcing signings before the end of the season is selling the fans short. The season should be about the here and now. Direct comments from your chairman's matchday programme notes, in the context of Hull FC announcing signings early. 2) Signings will not be announced until all the paperwork is complete, to avoid a Crocker/Eastwood/Bird etc scenario.
Yet now you've finished 3 places below where you did last season, there's no movement on the East Stand, let alone the North, and the season pass discount period is about to end, all these principles are merrily abandoned, with the unbelievable excuse that the club wants to get the fans excited. If you can't see this extreme hypocrisy for what it is, you're not quite playing with a full deck.
