Season is still ongoing therefore any signings announced are distracting from the here and now, surely? Have you seen the HDM today BTW? If Green doesn't come now it'll look ridiculous.
Mild Rover wrote:Also worth bearing in mind (and continuing my frankly brilliant brover's keeper riff), it is possible for people to support the same club and yet have different opinions. Being held to account for what I have said by the quotabase is one thing, but I imagine you wouldn't like it if I held you to account for everything Jake the Peg, Hoaxpro, Standee, Smallears, James Rule et al said.
The point on other fans I take. Hudgell is (or should I say was) the club's figurehead and spokesperson though, and one universally loved and beyond criticism from Rovers fans. Fair game, therefore.

Rovers have nothing to do with the Green article. the HDM have appoached Green for an interview so that can't blamed on the club. Especially as it states at the bottom of the article rovers are awaiting a visa to officially announce the signing. It should leave the HDM looking ridiculous.

You're right, Rovers haven't talked about signing Green at all. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... ticle.html HULL KR coach Justin Morgan believes reuniting Blake Green with Michael Dobson could spearhead Rovers' drive success for years to come. "Blake is a good young half-back with plenty of NRL experience," said Morgan, who has been tracking his progress for two years."Negotiations are reasonably down the line."
http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... ticle.html HULL KR will complete the signing of Aussie half-back Blake Green this week, the Mail understands. Sources have told the Mail the 23-year-old has agreed the terms of his move to the Robins, and the length of the deal.
Hull KR have confirmed they are in talks to sign Canterbury Bulldogs stand-off Blake Green. Coach Justin Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside: "We're well and truly down the track with Blake, he's a top quality player."

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

So what you are saying is that HKR and JM have stated they are trying to sign him. Again how the hell does that make HKR look ridiculous when at no point have they confirmed the signing. I mean this is the paper that pick and choose what parts of conversations to print a point made by Willie Mason himself. Talk about clutching at straws.

Just pointing out it's a bit hypocritical for your chairman to slate other clubs for announcing signings before the season's over last year, then to do pretty much just that (visa notwithstanding) when the boot's on the other foot and you've slipped down the table.

Not ridiculous as most clubs do it. Just hypocritical after slating clubs doing the same in the chairman's programme notes last season.
