Unlucky to lose that but a brilliant game to watch. Good luck for the rest of the season

Not fluent but gutsy from Hull KR and that is much appreciated. Got a couple of moments to celebrate, so way, way better than last time.

You could argue your pre-planned “sway the ref” attack of Asiata’s tackling technique cost you the game :NAUGHTY:

By “you could”, do you mean “I would”?

I won’t be because:
1. It is an argument with a some glaring weaknesses
2. It just feels like an odd focus

I like arguing, so normally I’d be encouraging you to expound. But it is just so weak, I think it’d be better for us both if you tried something else.

I think it would have been better if the OP had started his post with "It could" rather than "you could" as seems he's trying to make this personal, and for what its worth I don't believe any of these theories about the ref being swayed by the players actions.

Couldn't agree less Squire.
2015 when Briscoe took the interception, I just sat down and didn't care anymore.
Yesterday I was invested right until the end and this has an almost, but not quite, 2016 feel to it.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Well it cost HKR 2 points and you were level at FT

That’s fair enough - we all feel the way we feel, I completely respect that. I’ve seen other Rovers fans call it heartbreaking.

I just felt relieved mostly, both that they had a dig and of the weight of the last 8 years. 2016, we had the catharsis of 2017 - this isn’t that but it has been quite a wait for, I dunno… psychological rehabilitation? For me, not everybody I accept.

After the early penalties and knock on(s?) I started to fear it’d be 2015 all over again… so Litten going in was nice, and I felt like I could breath again.

If we’d been 6 up with 90 seconds to go that’d feel a bit more 2016-y to me.

For me (lucky me :) ) those ghosts are done. I’m in my late 40s and the rich clubs have this sown up pretty tight. Even in the good old days of relative parity, 1980 was only Rovers fourth final since first entering in 1898 (won 46-0 vs Hull Marlborough in the first round [sidenote, Hull FC’s first ever Challenge Cup tie was a year earlier, a 9-0 win over Walkden if you want to ‘impress’ friends with some trivia]). Rovers didn’t make a final between 1925 and 1964. I’ve been gloomy for a long time, and I guess I just kind of bored myself with it. If this is as good it gets before my blood pressure blows the top of my head off, then I’ll take consolation where I can squeeze it out.

For now - I reserve the right to change my mind and revert to being miserable later, if new poop rains down. At least it’ll be new.

I have followed Queen Elsa’s advice and Let It Go.

It has occurred to me that at certain times and in certain ways my argumentative tendencies on RLfans could be seen as bullying. Hurt people hurt people. But I’m not going to blame Jamie Peacock anymore. If I’m a bum hole that is on me.

I don’t agree with your contention but I’m happy to leave it at that.

However, if you’d like an excessively long, and painfully detailed and precise response I can provide that. It will not necessarily be entirely exoteric.

Actually, I’m knackered now aren’t I? ChatGPT.

Just get that to churn out 300 words on epistemological inconsistencies in a theory.
