I'm going to be really critical here but watching from behind the sticks was awful at times. We've somehow managed to shore up our goal line defence but now we lose the collision and wrestle most of the time allowing the opposition quick ball. Our marker defence is therefore compromised meaning that they killed us out of dummy half all afternoon.
On the plus side, Quinlan, McGuire and Atkin ripped them apart and looked constanly threatening with ball in hand. Hall once again made menlook a pillock!
The game featured one of the funniest moments i've ever witnessed on the terraces. As Vai Vai threw the world's worst dummy I shouted out that was what it was, I looked away and when he scored the older chap in front of me got so excited he spat his false teeth half way down the terrace and then spent the rest of the game complaining that he had grit in his mouth.
Utterly ridiculous contribution, really!
Yes Leeds should have done nothing all game & Rovers should have dealt with them easily. In your dreams!
Rovers played a brilliant expansive game and defended from 36-26 with sheer guts and determination. We made mistakes but boy what character to win that game.
What a shame that even some Rovers fans can't enjoy such a brilliant occasion. For the rest of us.....it's 2/3 job not done but what a turnaround with 2 tremendous away wins.
