Mild Rover almost single handedly negotiated Mason's Toulon move a couple of weeks ago.

It was an accident!

If he does go to Toulon, how funny would it be if he came out with a statement along the lines of; "Me and my manager had never really thought about rugby union, never mind in France and then all these rumours started flying around and when we looked at the money on offer, we thought we'd take a look."

The Toulon fan website where it all started is now saying the rumours look firmer as it has been reported in the Sun, bringing us full circle.

There is clearly some truth behind it - Toulon's manager has acknowledged contact with Mason's representative, but I'm still not convinced it went any further than that. It's been an education of sorts!
