I must admit it's a clever ploy by Rovers but there is potential for it to backfire. For example if a club was interested in signing him there would be nothing Rovers could do to prevent them from making an approach.

God you're touchy. It was a hypothetical scenario, and of course I don't know the in's and outs of this deal but are you allowed to keep paying Dobson during this time? If not and Dobson misses a months pay then obviously he's not going to be happy is he.
