Hull announce they have signed a decent young player from Cumbria, 3 days later and not to be outdone Rovers announce a partnership with a Cumbrian club. Not really sure what Rovers current crop of half decent youngsters would get out of travelling up to your neck of the woods to play at a level only a small notch up from Conference rugby and i'm not sure where any of Workingtons youngsters would fit in at HKR.
Its all PR mate and more to do with trying to outdo FC and take some of the heat out of the Mason saga. 12 months down the line it will all be forgotten about
I think you'll find that Rovers connection to Workington goes back a few years since we played them in the cup the day after they had a fire at the ground and Rovers gave up their share of the gate receipts to help the club out.
