Hull and it's board are happy to simply exist and more or less stagnate except for the flirt with the bottom of the table now and again, Rovers are progressive and have spent for now and for the future. In the last 5 seasons we know which fans have been happier and that will continue until you are long buried 6 foot under

Does help when the governing body stump up the cash to pay your debt off, allow you to inherit a top 6 squad and coaching staff. Hardly a hard days work getting out of the $hit was it

Wigan (top addirions to top side) Saints (good additions) Wire (will push all the way, but will just fall short of top 2) Leeds (another mediocre season) Hudds (good coach, good team spirit, good players) Rovers (should do better than last as we have a good 6 and a world class forward added, plus Hall) FC (same poor half backs, Westerman is a good addition, but not good enough on his own, Sharp is average) Bradford (should be a bit better this season) Salford (will be a suprise this season, some good additions) Cats (Weak squad) Cas (weak squad) Crusaders (will miss Noble) Wakey (weak squad) Quins (pi$$ poor squad)

In the last 5 seasons we've made 2 major finals. Just a reflection on our differing levels of aspiration that your fans are much happier with much less including a deteriorating league position. Still, we await the sockfest over Morgan's annual claims to doing the double on the back page of the HDM in 6 weeks time. Unless Murrell gets there first

Have you bought the kids their Christmas presents yet?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Don't go reminding them of a piece of their history that they've conveniently forgotten

From where we've come from why would we expect that within 5 years we'd have had the same aspirations of the team that was actually in the Grand Final the year we were promoted? The fact that ever since the very week where we won in 2006 and you lost we've outperformed our expectations while you've failed miserably is proof enough which club has its bar set too high.
We've won the Grand Final and been promoted and improved year on year, not bad for a side that wouldn't ever get in the Super League, Would finish bottom and be relegated, Wouldn't ever win a game, Wouldn't ever win an away game, Wouldn't win a derby, is only there for 8 easy points, Wouldn't finish in the top 4, wouldn't win a play off game.
You reached two Major finals granted, shame you never bothered to actually compete in either of them. Nice day out though

I hope that when we've been in Super League as long as FC have, then we might have a couple of major finals under our belts too. You never know, we might even win one.

No you have not improved year on year, last year you finished lower in the league than the previous year, winning one play-off game is not an improvement because it never got you any where.

Ooh, comprehensive chompage. Look, you talk of setting the bar too high, but Hudgell said you'd be challenging for silverware from 2009 when you'd be in a 14,000 capacity stadium. Perhaps this letdown is reflected in dwindling attendances of the last 2 years.
